If Liberals Don't Want To Be On Benghazi Committee, It Must Mean They Do Not Want To Face The Issue! In Other Words, It Must Be True.

Speaker of the House John Boehner has ordered the establishment of a new special committee to investigate the 2012 attacks on Americans in Benghazi — but some liberals don’t want any Democrats to take part in the hearings.
“Member of Congress told me she will urge Nancy Pelosi to appoint NO Democrats to Special Benghazi Committee,” liberal talk radio host Bill Press wrote on Twitter on Monday. “She’s right!”
On Monday, Boehner announced that he is tapping South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy to serve as chairman of the select committee hearings.
“With four of our countrymen killed at the hands of terrorists, the American people want answers, accountability, and justice,” Boehner said Monday. “Trey Gowdy is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come.”
Boehner has long resisted calls from members of his party to establish a select committee — he has said the investigations going on in other committees are adequate — but said last week he decided a select committee was needed after determining that the Obama administration had withheld documents from a congressional subpoena.
Emails released last week indicated that the White House played a bigger role than previously admitted in crafting the now-debunked initial talking points on the attacks that left four Americans dead, including Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya.
But Democrats have argued that the investigations are partisan-driven and meant to try to harm former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ahead of a likely run for president in 2016.
Last week, former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor scoffed at questions about Benghazi during an interview on Fox News.
“Dude, this was two years ago,” Vietor said.
The Daily Caller has reached out to a spokesman for Pelosi to ask whether she plans to appoint Democrats to the committee. We’ll update when we hear back.
