Professional fisherman Angus James had just reeled in a jungle perch he caught in a river in Queensland, Australia, recently. When James reached down and pulled the fish from the water and was about to remove the lure from its mouth and release the fish, he was greeted by an amazing sight. A live tree frog was inside the mouth of the just-caught fish.

James told the News Limited, “I was shocked. I thought it might have been grass at first, then it blinked.” The frog reportedly did not waste the opportunity to escape, jumping out of the fish’s mouth and hopping to freedom.
The image went viral after James sent it to Reptiles magazine and they posted it on Facebook.
