By supporting Hamas, President Jimmy Carter and Bishop Desmond Tutu are bringing about the death of more Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers alike, Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz said.

"It's not only the UN, it's President Jimmy Carter who has blood on his hands," Dershowitz told JD Hayworth on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV Tuesday.

"He's the one who advised [the late Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasser] Arafat not to accept the two-state solution that would have resulted in a Palestinian state," he explained. "It's Bishop Tutu who supports Hamas, which has a charter calling for the murder of every single Jew."

Their actions, he said, have contributed to "mainstreaming" antisemitism and helping Hamas win the PR battle.

"The New York Times, which in 53 op-eds, almost none of them over the last several years has presented any kind of a balanced view on Israel," Dershowitz explained.

"That's what's causing the PR war to be lost," he said.

"Hamas wins the war of PR and then they're encouraged to do it again and again and again," he contends.

"Jimmy Carter and Bishop Tutu are encouraging Hamas to cause the deaths of more and more Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers and civilians," the veteran attorney said. "Shame on them."

David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel told Newsmax that Israel loses "the PR battle because we're apologetic all the time and we have nothing to be apologetic about."

"I'm not apologetic when I talk about Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, who funds terrorists," Rubin explained.

"He doesn't just fund terrorists from his own Fatah terrorist organization," he said. "He also funds terrorists from Hamas and ISIS and Hezbollah — they all get salaries from Mahmoud Abbas if they committed an attack against Israeli civilians."

"My 3-year-old son and I were wounded by terrorists from Abbas's own Fatah terrorist organization," Rubin said. "So I'm not apologetic about it."

"I don't think we have anything to be apologetic about, I don't think we need to be apologetic when the UN allows missiles to be stationed in their facilities in Gaza so that Hamas can shoot them at Israeli civilians," he explained.

"The UN is complicit in this and we need to be saying that the UN is an accomplice in the attacks on Israeli civilians, not just defending ourselves but stating the obvious," he said.

"How did they not know that there are missiles in those facilities?"

Dershowitz emphasized the point that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly Monday when he said Iran poses a greater threat than the Islamic State (ISIS).

"He wanted to make the world aware of the fact that ISIS is perhaps a one or two year problem, but a nuclear armed Iran is a century-long problem and any government official who allows Iran to develop nuclear weapons will be the Chamberlain of the 21st century," Dershowitz said.

"Keep your eye on the prize, and the prize is to make sure that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons, and Israel will defend itself against all threats external or from Hamas," he added.
