Today's Welfare, Not Your Father's Welfare

From Tea Party Update:

You Won’t Believe the Exotic Way Welfare Recipients Are Spending Their Welfare Checks

11519699_sOdds are everyday you wake up and head to work you give it everything you have.
You might not have much, or you might be well off… but at the end of the day you can say without hesitation what you do have is valuable… because you worked hard to get it.
The same cannot be said of welfare recipients. While some genuinely need the help, many voluntarily choose to abuse the system and use their welfare checks for things that working people can’t even hope to afford.
For example, Colorado welfare recipients are using your tax dollars not only to help them buy Cokes and Doritos, but also to help them buy cigarettes and booze… in Hawaii.
“Why would someone who’s on welfare be in Hawaii?” you might ask. A coach ticket to Hawaii costs at bare minimum $600, so how in the world are they able to afford a vacation when they’re being bankrolled by a program created for people who can barely scrape by?
It’s a good question to be asking and that’s what Arthur Kane of Watchdog.org is trying to figure out. Kane investigated the withdrawals of these welfare recipients and found nearly $4 million dollars was withdrawn outside of the state.
Watchdog.org’s analysis of the Colorado Department of Human Services welfare ATM withdrawals database shows that just in the past two years alone, $3.8 million dollars was withdrawn in destinations like Las Vegas, Hawaii and even the U.S. Virgin Islands.
That means these individuals are financing their lavish lifestyles with the checks that should be used to help them get back on their feet.
It’s outrageous, especially when you factor in just how expensive trips like these are for an average American family. Think about everything you need to have a good time on a trip:
And so on and so forth and you can already feel your blood begin to boil.
While you’re being fleeced by the federal government, the government just turns around and gives that money away to help buy more votes.
And if you’re wondering about welfare money in Colorado going to pay for pot… yes, these same welfare recipients are even spending their money at marijuana shops. It’s pretty disheartening.
The establishment is doing this on purpose. They’re creating a large group of Americans who are dependent on the government and will continue to vote for the candidates who will finance their lavish lifestyles.
It’s a way to chase votes, and it comes at your expense.
