Weakness Only Begets Weakness. ISIS Sees The West As Weak And A Fertile Ground For Recruits

The U.S. government’s official position is that the Islamic State’s ideology has absolutely nothing to do with Islam, and that the Muslims who join it know and care little or nothing about their religion, and that the overwhelming majority of Muslims reject and are repulsed by its understanding and practice of Islam.
And now Mike Rogers tells us that this nauseating and un-Islamic perversion of Islam is “increasingly resonating” with Muslims in the U.S. How and why that is happening, he apparently did not explain, and no one seems to have asked him about it.
And so the yawning canyon of cognitive dissonance grows ever larger.

(CNN)The head of U.S. Cyber Command said Monday that the ability of ISIS to recruit adherents online is “a trend that is clearly increasing, not decreasing” and that the terror group’s ideology is “increasingly resonating” with Americans.
Adm. Mike Rogers, director of the National Security Agency, also said that the terror group’s recent efforts to use cyber capabilities as a weapons system rather than only for recruiting and spreading ideology is a “great concern” to the NSA….
