In contrast to the U.S. president, even the “progressive, socialist pope” recognized the Paris attack as “a piece” of a third world war, talk-radio host Michael Savage told his listeners Monday.
Savage began his show reading from the opening of his bestselling new book, “Government Zero: No Borders, No Language, No Culture,” warning that the West is in a “dance of death.”
“There is a dance of death in the West and actual death in the Middle East, courtesy of the Islamofascists,” he writes. “Meanwhile, the Caesar in the White House entertains himself with a thousand sycophants, partying on behind closed doors as if the Islamofascist hand will not touch him. He thinks he’s protected from this new plague, the Black Death of radical Islam.”
An Italian religious TV station, TV2000, posted an audio clip of an interview with Pope Francis in which he affirmed that the Paris attack was part of what he previously described as a “piecemeal” World War III in which ISIS is killing and displacing thousands of people, including many Christians.

But President Obama’s reaction to the attack by ISIS in Paris Friday night, which left at least 129 people dead, was jaw-dropping, Savage said Monday.
“I stand here before you in front of this microphone trying to ring the bell of sanity in a world of insanity,” Savage told listeners of “The Savage Nation,” which is heard in more than 300 markets across the country.
“We have leaders who are so spineless or insane or drugged, that they’re not leaders,” Savage said. “They’re going to kill all of us.”
‘Mouths agape’
At the G-20 Summit in Turkey on Monday, Obama was put on the defensive by reporters questioning his strategy against ISIS and his unwillingness to alter it in the wake of the Paris attack.
Obama declared ISIS “does not represent Islam; it is not representative in any way of the attitudes of the overwhelming majority of Muslims.”
Savage said “even the liberal progressive reporters sat with their mouths agape as they listened to the rubbish” coming from Obama.

“The empty suit was never more empty,” Savage said.
“The fallacy of Obama as a leader was never more clear, even to those reporters who are given to liberal, progressive values, if you want to call them values,” he remarked.
“They stood there shocked by what he was not saying, and more so shocked by what he was saying.”
Savage said the West faces an enemy that has been “at it” for 1,400 years, “and if you say they are not Islamic, you are a fool, then you’re denying what they themselves say.”
“But what are they, then? Jewish? Christian? Hindu? Zoroastrian? Who are they? Are they a group of Buddhists in head scarves? Are they Christians in head scarves? Are they Jews in head scarves? Who are they?” he asked.

“They call themselves the Islamic State,” Savage said, carefully emphasizing each word, “and here is the empty suit, called Obama, saying that they’re not anything to do with Islam.”
The unthinkable
Savage said he’s come to the conclusion that Obama is insane.

“How insane is a man who at a time like this not only says he is not going to stop the influx of male, Muslim, Syrian refugees of military age, but he’s going to double down and bring in more?” Savage asked.
“If this is not insanity, tell me what is it?”
In the opening paragraphs of his new book, published Oct. 27 and now No. 3 on the New York Times list, he observes that great civilizations of the past declined because they “rejected the values that made them great and degenerated into narcissism and selfishness.”
“They kept on partying until they were too weak to defend themselves,” he writes. “Then, the unthinkable happened. They fell.”
