Any Group Who Heckles A Speaker Should Be Lead Out. It Is Impolite And Very Poor Form.

“Liberal” Rabbis to Heckle Trump?

Are American-Jewish Reform and “Conservative” rabbis going off the deep end in a transparent attempt to support the Democratic candidates? Unlike their Orthodox pro-Israel counterparts, many of these left-wing activists are planning to follow in the footsteps of their “Black Lives Matter” and “Move On” agitator friends by disrupting Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump’s speech at the upcoming Washington, DC AIPAC conference.
“He embodies ‘Sinat chinam’ — senseless hatred,” said Rabbi David Paskin of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, one of the protest’s organizers. “We are against the ugliness that has engulfed this election season. And he has driven much of it, from his comments about Mexicans and Muslims to the violence at his rallies.”
Senseless hatred? While one can certainly criticize the personal nature of some of Mr. Trump’s harsh attacks on his opponents, a fair observer should take note of the vile personal attacks against the nouveau politician that have been given prominent billing in the media. Such crude and blatantly inaccurate labels as “rascist”, “Nazi”, and “bigot” have been hurled at Trump with a viciousness never seen before in American politics.

The pretentious Reform rabbinical tirades have revealed a leftist blindness and adherence to a dogmatic, knee-jerk liberalism that is actually quite pathetic. Trump’s concern about rampant illegal immigration to the United States reflects a very real similar concern amongst a very large portion of the American population, as do his comments calling for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration. All it takes is a peek at the increasing chaos, the increasing violent crime, and the mushrooming Islamic demographic threat in Europe to understand that what Trump is expressing has nothing to do with senseless hatred or bigotry.
The self-appointed Jewish-American protesters are way off base and should pay attention to the voters that are coming out in droves to see and hear the leading candidate in the GOP field. In a free society, the voters deserve the opportunity to consider the policy po‎sitions of the candidates, especially the leading candidates, without unnecessary disruptions by intolerant, arrogant leftists and Democratic Party supporters, even if they do call themselves rabbis.
Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton is infamous for her 45 minute lecture several years ago during her term as Secretary of State, when she sternly reprimanded Israel’s elected leader for allowing Jews to build in Jerusalem, Israel’s capital for the past 3,000 years. Her Democratic competitor Bernie Sanders, though born Jewish, is a major critic of both the United States and Israel, and has made it abundantly clear that his primary allegiances are with the international Socialist/Communist movement.
Donald Trump, along with his GOP rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich, deserves the opportunity to be heard and have his views on Israel and foreign policy considered with an open mind. Any of the three remaining GOP candidates have expressed views that are far more pro-Israel than those of Hillary and Bernie, and they belong to a party that has a far greater pool of pro-Israel politicians to join a potential GOP administration.
In short, this is an opportunity for genuine friends of Israel to listen, not to disrupt and heckle, as the Left is wont to do when confronted with assertive, intelligent GOP candidates, who don’t fit their dogmatic left-wing agenda. The real question is whether a strong, undivided Israel is really a part of that agenda. Will the “liberal” rabbis know how to listen or is Israel just a side issue to them?
